Veronica Giannini (she/her)

Registered Social Worker

I am a registered social worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work, an Honours Bachelor of Social Work degree and a BA in Child and Family Studies. For over 10 years, I have been holding space for others so that they may feel empowered and know their worth. 

I offer a down-to-earth, client-centred and strengths-based approach to supporting the mental health of children (ages8+), teens, young adults and those who care for them. 

Being a parent is one of life’s most rewarding and wonderful honours. It can also be highly stressful and exhausting. Sometimes, the experience is different from what you had imagined. Moving toward healing and finding balance in life can be challenging while navigating the role of a parent. I am here to offer you non-judgemental and empathetic support. 

Young adults face unique challenges in this stage of life. During our time together, we will explore the development of a strong sense of self and self-care practices while you manage the stressors that can come with finances, school, work, mental health concerns, life transitions and relationships. 

When working with young folks, I create a safe space for their voices to be heard, strengths to be discovered, thoughts and feelings to be explored and positive coping skills to be developed. Whether this is your child’s first experience with therapy or they are seeking further support, children and youth can expect a relaxed, playful and compassionate approach. 

In my spare time I enjoy spending time in nature, painting, yoga and walking my dog. I love long road trips, listening to music, attending markets and festivals, travelling and hanging out with my family and friends.
