Sarah Moore (she/her)
Registered Social Worker
Hello! I’m Sarah Moore, a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). I hold a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and an Honours BA in Psychology.
With over 15 years of experience in social services, I specialize in helping individuals heal from complex trauma (C-PTSD), dissociation, developmental trauma, emotional neglect, and attachment wounds. I work with clients navigating the effects of narcissistic abuse, trauma bonding, inner child wounding, and identity fragmentation, including those with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) or Other Specified Dissociative Disorder (OSDD).
As an EMDR therapist, I bring a grounded, compassionate, and nonjudgmental presence to our work. I also integrate parts work, somatic awareness, and other trauma-informed approaches to help you reconnect with safety, self-trust, and emotional regulation. I understand how confusing and isolating it can feel to live with emotional flashbacks, chronic self-doubt, or the experience of “shutting down.” You don’t have to navigate that alone.
My approach is warm, relational, and collaborative. I deeply believe in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship, and I’ll meet you with both empathy and honesty as we explore the patterns and protective strategies that have helped you survive — and gently guide you toward deeper healing. Our work together will be uniquely tailored to your needs, your pace, and your goals.
I am affirming and inclusive in my work with LGBTQ2S+ clients, and I provide neurodivergent-affirming care that honours your lived experience and sensory or relational needs. You are welcome here — all parts of you.
Much of my passion for this work comes from my own lived experience. Growing up in poverty and experiencing emotional neglect, anxiety, OCD, and disordered eating has shaped both who I am and how I practice. I know how painful it can be to feel unseen, disconnected, or stuck — and how transformative it can be to feel truly understood.
Outside of sessions, I love being outdoors with my rescue dogs, lifting weights, hiking, cooking, and getting lost in a good novel. I believe healing can be serious — but life doesn’t have to be. I hold space for both.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me. Whether you’re seeking support for trauma, dissociation, or simply a space to feel seen and whole again, I’m here to walk alongside you.
