VIRTUAL CONSULT

Sarah Moore (she/her)

Registered Social Worker

HHello! I’m Sarah Moore, MSW, RSW, a trauma therapist specializing in complex trauma (C-PTSD), dissociation, and the long-term impacts of chronic relational harm. My work supports individuals healing from developmental trauma, emotional neglect, attachment wounds, identity fragmentation, and the effects of growing up in unsafe or invalidating environments. I also work extensively with survivors of sexual trauma, childhood sexual abuse, coercive control, narcissistic abuse, and trauma bonding. I have significant experience supporting clients with dissociative disorders, including DID and OSDD.

As an EMDR therapist, I integrate standard EMDR alongside a gentle, body-based, and paced approach to trauma processing. My work is informed by contemporary understandings of complex and dissociative trauma, emphasizing nervous-system regulation, early threat responses, and a gentle paced so that therapy feels manageable rather than overwhelming. I also integrate parts work and somatic awareness to support grounding, internal communication, and a growing sense of safety within.

My approach is warm, relational, and collaborative. I deeply believe in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship, and I’ll meet you with both empathy and honesty as we explore the patterns and protective strategies that have helped you survive — and gently guide you toward deeper healing. Our work together will be uniquely tailored to your needs, your pace, and your goals.

My passion for trauma therapy is influenced by my own lived experience. Growing up in poverty and navigating emotional neglect, anxiety, OCD, and disordered eating has shaped the empathy, steadiness, and precision I bring to this work. I understand what it’s like to feel unseen—and what it means to be truly met.

Outside the therapy room, you can usually find me outdoors with my rescue dogs, lifting weights, hiking, cooking, or getting lost in a good novel. Healing can be deep and serious - but life doesn’t have to be. I hold space for both

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me. Whether you’re seeking support for trauma, dissociation, or simply a space to feel seen  and whole again, I’m here to walk alongside you.
