Amrit Babbra (she/her)

Resgistered Social Worker

I am a growing Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the OCSWSSW, with a background in social work and psychology, along with training in trauma-informed and relationship-focused therapy. My education and clinical experience have shaped a practice centered on understanding how our life experiences, relationships, and emotional patterns influence the way we move through the world. I work with individuals and couples who are navigating challenges such as relationship concerns, trauma, emotional overwhelm, identity exploration, and life transitions. In couples therapy, I integrate work from an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) lens, helping partners understand the deeper emotional needs and attachment patterns that shape their connection.

My work is primarily informed by attachment-based therapy and integrates approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), parts work, CBT, DBT, and somatic practices. I believe healing happens not only through insight but also through reconnecting with our emotional and physical experiences, allowing us to attune to ourselves more holistically. I aim to balance reflection with practical tools so clients can better understand themselves while also building skills that support lasting growth and change.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I deeply value human connection and the ways we find meaning through relationships and shared experiences. I’m a big animal lover and someone who connects passionately to music, believing that music can move and change us in ways that words sometimes cannot fully explain. These parts of life remind me of the importance of emotion, presence, and connection, which I also bring into my work with clients.
