Meghan Corry (she/her)

MSW Intern

Hello! My name is Meghan, and I am a Master of Social Work student at WilfridLaurier University. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work with minors in Human Rights and Indigenous Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as a Social Service Worker diploma from Conestoga College. Over the past three years, I have had the privilege of supporting gender-diverse individuals and families experiencing gender-based violence.

These experiences have strengthened my passion for providing care that is trauma-responsive, person-centred, and grounded in empathy. I believe in meeting people where they are, while recognizing the ways that our identities, relationships, childhood experiences, and broader social systems shape our lives. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and respected. I value authenticity, collaboration, and curiosity, and I believe that you are the expert in your

own life. My goal is to walk alongside you as you explore your strengths, navigate life’s challenges, and work toward what matters most to you. I am committed to fostering an inclusive, affirming, and anti-oppressive environment where people of all identities and lived experiences feel welcomed and supported.

Alongside my professional experience, I bring lived experience of gender-based violence and sexual exploitation, which has shaped my commitment to providing compassionate, trauma-responsive, and non-judgmental support. While every personal journey is unique, these experiences have strengthened my belief in the importance of hope, resilience, and meeting people where they are.

In my free time you will find me on spontaneous adventures with my son, reading, practicing yoga, listening to loud music or out in nature. Thank you for taking the time to read, I look forward to connecting with you and building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, respect, and authenticity.
