Individual & EMDR Therapy

Angela Quail (she/her)

Resgistered Social Worker

Hello! My name is Angela Quail, and I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I hold a Master of Social Work degree and an Honours Bachelor of Social Work, with a minor in Indigenous Studies, from Wilfrid Laurier University. I firmly believe that therapy is most meaningful when clients feel genuinely seen and empowered to lead their own healing in being the experts of their own life. Guided by humanistic values and trauma-informed care, my integrative approach builds on your existing strengths and natural resilience. Sessions offer an empathic, compassionate space to be heard without judgment, where we move at your own pace toward the changes that matter most to you.

Having completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I offer this evidence-based therapy to clients seeking to heal from trauma and other distressing life experiences. EMDR engages the brain’s natural capacity to reprocess difficult memories, reducing their emotional intensity and lessening their influence on present-day thoughts, feelings, and functioning. Because healing is rarely a one-size-fits-all approach, I also draw from a range of other modalities that honour the whole person. Guided by my own ancestry and my academic background in Indigenous Studies, I bring together Indigenous ways of knowing and Western therapeutic approaches with care and respect.

My individual therapy supports children, teens, adults, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, and more. Women’s wellbeing holds a special place in my work, particularly helping women and women identifying people reconnect with their inner strength, honour their own needs, and move through change with confidence.

My own healing journey is a meaningful part of why I do this work. Having walked my own path of growth, I understand the dedication and courage it takes to face difficult experiences and choose healing. I continue to practise the same wellness tools I share with clients, as I believe that caring for my own wellbeing allows me to show up more fully and authentically for others. When I’m not in session, you’ll often find me connecting with nature and my animal friends on a nearby forest trail, enjoying quality time with my beautiful daughter, or negotiating couch space with Oskar, my big, fluffy and very silly cat.
