Sophie Farber (she/her)

MSW Intern

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. I am an MSW Intern Therapist completing my Master of Social Work degree at Wilfrid Laurier University. I work with youth (16+) and adults, supporting them as they navigate challenges, build skills, and explore meaningful goals.

I take a holistic, trauma-informed approach, drawing from Solution-Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also integrate Critical Disability Theory, which helps me consider how systemic and social factors shape well-being. I aim to create a collaborative, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe, heard, and empowered.

Reaching out for support is a brave first step. I strive to provide a space where you feel supported as you build skills, strengthen connections, and navigate life’s challenges at your own pace.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring creativity, spending time in nature, and relaxing at home with a good show.

Client Populations: Youth (16+) and Young Adults

I practice under the supervision of Ivonne Hammoud, RSW, MSW.
